Discover the Charm of Walberswick — Your Perfect Coastal Escape

Walberswick is a place where walking and cycling take precedence over cars, and life moves at a wonderfully laid-back pace.

Our apartment is perfectly located within walking distance of two welcoming pubs, The Bell and The Anchor, both serving delicious food. The village green is a lively hub, with its charming tea rooms, gift shops, and swings for the little ones.

Crabbing

Crabbing is a much-loved pastime in Walberswick and a favourite with families. Armed with just a simple line, a bucket, and some bait (bacon is a local favourite), you can spend hours by the quay seeing how many crabs you can catch and release. It's a relaxing, old-fashioned seaside activity that brings smiles to all ages — and a perfect way to while away a sunny afternoon.

Southwold

For a gentle adventure, you can walk or cycle to Southwold, or for a small fee, hop on the traditional hand-rowed ferry to cross the estuary. Southwold Harbour is perfect for enjoying fresh fish and chips and browsing the stalls for the freshest catch of the day.

Exploring

Nature lovers will find plenty to explore with miles of scenic walks, surrounded by marshes and bird sanctuaries. You can even walk to Dunwich, the legendary village lost to the sea, either along the beach or through peaceful forest paths. While there, visit the small Dunwich Museum to learn its fascinating story.

For those looking to stay active, you’ll find tennis courts in Southwold and excellent golf courses nearby in Southwold, Aldeburgh, and Halesworth.
